Amman: The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, Dr. Nawaf Ajarmeh, highlighted the strong Jordanian-UAE relations, particularly in the field of education, during his visit to Aysha Umm Al Muamnin Basic School for Girls in Amman. Dr. Ajarmeh emphasized that the Digital School project is a collaborative effort with the United Arab Emirates, aimed at integrating technology into education to achieve long-term learning impacts.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Digital School project, initiated in 2022, focuses on supporting Syrian refugee students and has been launched in 15 schools within the Amman Qasaba and University District Education directorates. Dr. Ajarmeh expressed gratitude towards the UAE for their continuous support and mentioned plans to expand the project to other regions of Jordan.
During his visit, Dr. Ajarmeh participated in a digital school lesson for 10th-grade mathematics students and addressed their concerns regarding the project's expansion. In conjunction with his visit, the Ministry of Education recognized schools, teachers, and students excelling in the Digital School project, underscoring its commitment to enhancing educational experiences through technology.
The initiative provides digital lessons, educational videos, and interactive activities, enabling teachers to create electronic tests and equip students with digital skills. Training has been provided to 800 teachers and school principals to enhance their digital capabilities, further supporting the educational process and curriculum from grades 1 through 12.
