Ministry Discusses Vision to Enhance Jordan’s Transport ‘Efficiency’

Amman: Ministry of Transport on Sunday held its 2nd meeting for the teams' heads of the Technical Committee for Facilitating Transport and Trade.

According to Jordan News Agency, the event focused on reviewing the latest developments in the committee's work and the teams' plans for the Logistics and Transport Performance Indicators within the Infrastructure and Market Access pillar of the Legatum Prosperity Index. These two indicators are crucial for enhancing the efficiency of the logistics sector and boosting Jordan's regional and international competitiveness, which would positively impact the business environment and the flow of trade and transport.

The meeting also reviewed the recommendations and outcomes of the meeting held last April. Additionally, the discussions examined outcomes of a recent field visit to the Karameh Border Crossing, which brought together representatives from several government and private sector entities.
