PSD Launches Comprehensive Hajj Safety and Service Plan

Amman: The Public Security Department (PSD) has begun implementing its integrated security and humanitarian plan for the Hajj season, deploying a series of field, organizational, and service measures to facilitate the passage of pilgrims to the Holy Sites. The department confirmed it has mobilized its full operational and human resource capacities to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims from their departure until they reach the Saudi border. The plan focuses on streamlining travel procedures, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and addressing any logistical obstacles immediately.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Borders and Residence Department and the Bridges Security Department have enhanced field readiness by increasing staff and simplifying transit processes to accelerate movement at border crossings. Simultaneously, the Highway Patrol Department has intensified its presence on all major routes leading to border outlets. Patrols are providing security escorts for pilgrim convoys to maintain traffic order and are standing by to handle any roadside emergencies during the journey.

On the humanitarian front, Civil Defense teams are providing 24-hour ambulance and medical services along the transit routes. Specialized medical teams and equipped vehicles have been stationed to provide immediate healthcare and emergency response for the "Dhuyouf (guests) of Ar-Rahman (Allah)." The PSD emphasized that this mission is being carried out in coordination with various government agencies, reflecting Jordan's commitment to humanitarian service and the protection of pilgrims during this significant religious season.
