Amman: The Lower House Palestine Committee visited the Royal Medical Services (RMS) directorate on Tuesday to review the medical and humanitarian support provided to Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
According to Jordan News Agency, the delegation, led by MP Suliman Al Sood and committee member MP Walid Al-Masri, met with RMS Director General Brigadier General Dr. Sahel Hammouri. Al Sood stated that the visit aimed to highlight the ongoing efforts of Jordanian field hospitals and surgical stations operating in the Palestinian territories. He emphasized that these facilities provide healthcare according to the highest medical and humanitarian standards.
Hammouri reaffirmed the RMS's commitment to supporting its medical teams in Gaza and the West Bank. He noted that the continued delivery of advanced therapeutic services reflects the high level of efficiency and readiness of the Jordanian Armed Forces' medical cadres.
The committee members expressed their appreciation for His Majesty King Abdullah II's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and lauded the Jordan Armed Forces for their role in delivering relief aid. They specifically commended the medical teams on the ground for their dedication to serving those in need under challenging conditions.
At the conclusion of the visit, Al Sood presented an honorary shield on behalf of the Lower House in recognition of the RMS's service. Hammouri likewise presented a shield to the committee, honoring their legislative efforts and advocacy for the Palestinian people.
