Bahrain King Reaffirms Deep-Rooted Ties with Jordan During Meeting with Senate President

Manama: Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa emphasized the strong and historical ties between his nation and Jordan, expressing pride in their relationship that continues to strengthen through the leadership's commitment to mutual interests.

According to Jordan News Agency, King Hamad made these remarks during a meeting with Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez and his delegation on an official visit to Bahrain. Al-Fayez conveyed greetings from King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, along with their wishes for King Hamad's continued health and Bahrain's prosperity.

King Hamad highlighted the significance of such visits in supporting parliamentary cooperation and the exchange of expertise. He praised King Abdullah II's efforts in bolstering Bahraini-Jordanian relations and acknowledged Jordan's support for Bahrain and its regional peace initiatives.

The meeting also covered regional and international developments, focusing on the Middle East. Al-Fayez expressed gratitude for the hospitality and reiterated Jordan's solidarity with Bahrain, condemning perceived threats from Iran and affirming support for Bahrain's sovereignty.

Al-Fayez emphasized the strategic brotherly relations between Jordan and Bahrain, underscoring Jordan's commitment to strengthening cooperation at all levels. He reiterated King Abdullah's stance against external interference in Bahrain's affairs, highlighting the shared security interests of both nations.

During the visit, Al-Fayez expressed the intent to further economic, investment, and parliamentary collaboration, reflecting the historic and mutually respectful relationship between the two countries. He thanked King Hamad for his dedication to expanding bilateral cooperation.

The discussions, attended by several senators and Jordan's Ambassador to Bahrain Rami Wreikat, also included talks on pertinent regional and international issues.
