King Abdullah II Assesses Operational Readiness at Eastern Military Region Command

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), visited the Eastern Military Region Command on Monday to evaluate its operational readiness and examine the defensive and technical capabilities of its formations and units.

According to Jordan News Agency, King Abdullah II was accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti. During the visit, they were briefed on the Eastern Military Region's primary operational tasks and efforts directed at advancing combat and logistical capabilities.

The briefing also included insights from the commander of Task Force "Fahd," a unit established in response to recent regional developments. The task force aims to bolster support for Border Guard units and enhance security and operational readiness along the border.

King Abdullah II inspected the operations and control room, receiving information on mechanisms for managing field operations and the integration of modern technological systems. These systems support the work of the region's formations and Border Guard units, aiming to enhance border security, expedite on-the-ground responses to emerging situations, and improve decision-making efficiency.

As part of the visit, His Majesty conducted a teleconference meeting with the assistant commander of Task Force "Fahd," further emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts in maintaining regional security.
