JHCO Distributes Nearly 19,000 Food Parcels in Ramadan Campaign Across Jordan and Gaza

Amman: Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) concluded its "Ramadan Brings Goodness 2026" campaign, which extended humanitarian aid throughout Jordan and reached the Gaza Strip during the holy month.

According to Jordan News Agency, the campaign aimed to support vulnerable families, ease the living and humanitarian challenges during Ramadan, and promote solidarity, which is central to JHCO's mission. The organization reported that its efforts reached 23,860 families in Jordan, benefiting 173,102 individuals, including 19,824 impoverished Jordanian households and 4,036 Palestinian refugee families.

The campaign successfully distributed 18,984 food parcels and 1,945 shopping vouchers with the collaboration of 257 local charities and 13 Palestinian refugee camps. Additionally, the initiative provided Eid garments through its clothing bank to 2,881 families, benefiting 40,152 Jordanians via distribution centers in Amman and Karak, and through mobile units.

In the Gaza Strip, JHCO managed to provide 301,152 Ramadan Iftar or Suhoor meals, distributed 7,519 food parcels, and conducted 14,944 relief interventions related to shelter and basic needs, including blankets, baby formula, tents, vegetable and fruit baskets, Zakat al-Fitr, apparel parcels, shopping vouchers, Eid cakes, and family sponsorships.

The organization highlighted that the campaign's achievements reflect a sustained commitment to humanitarian work, guided by a vision prioritizing human dignity and needs. JHCO expressed gratitude to all supporting entities, partners, and donors who contributed to the success of the Ramadan campaign, affirming that their solidarity empowers the continuation and reach of humanitarian efforts.
