Jordan and Spain Discuss Investment Opportunities Ahead of 2026 Forum

Amman: Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh and Spanish Ambassador Miguel de Lucas held discussions to explore avenues for strengthening economic and investment cooperation between Jordan and Spain during a meeting on Thursday.

According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Ghazaleh emphasized the importance of leveraging the strong bilateral ties to enhance investment cooperation and expand partnership opportunities, especially in light of the upcoming Jordan-EU Investment Conference 2026. He asserted that Jordan, with its leadership and stability, is well-equipped to navigate challenges and continue offering an investment environment that boosts investor confidence and supports business sustainability.

Abu Ghazaleh also pointed out significant investment opportunities in Jordan, particularly in the fields of energy, infrastructure, technology, and industry. The discussions highlighted the potential for growth in these sectors, aiming to attract more Spanish investments.

Spanish Ambassador Miguel de Lucas acknowledged the depth of the bilateral relations and commended Jordan's efforts to improve its investment and business climate. He reiterated Spain's commitment to enhancing economic and investment cooperation and to fostering partnerships between the two nations, positioning both countries for mutual growth and development.
