New york: Major US stock indices showed mixed performance on Monday after a week of repeated declines. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 388 points to 46,946, while the tech-focused Nasdaq gained 268 points to reach 22,374. In contrast, the S and P 500 fell by about 67 points to 6,699.
