King Abdullah II Reviews State Agencies’ Preparedness Amid Regional Tensions

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II chaired a meeting at the National Centre for Security and Crises Management (NCSCM) to assess the readiness of state institutions in response to ongoing regional developments. The meeting, attended by Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, focused on strategies to protect Jordan from potential attacks and ensure the nation's security.

According to Jordan News Agency, the King was briefed on the current measures implemented to safeguard Jordan's security and the well-being of its citizens. His Majesty expressed his gratitude for the efforts of various institutions and agencies, emphasizing the critical role of coordination among all entities involved.

During the meeting, King Abdullah II highlighted the necessity of being prepared for emergencies, advocating for the development of rapid response plans and the maintenance of secure stockpiles and sustainable supply chains for essential goods. He also stressed the importance of securing energy and raw material supplies and regulating markets to prevent price manipulation.

The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni, and Public Security Directorate Director Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah, alongside other ministers.
