Iraqi Prime Minister Condemns Bombing of Sites as “Blatant Act of Aggression”

Baghdad: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani condemned on Saturday the bombing of several Iraqi sites, calling it "a blatant act of aggression that Iraq rejects in all its forms."

According to Jordan News Agency, Al Sudani, in a statement issued by his office, emphasized that the attacks resulted in civilian casualties, either dead or injured. He warned against any violations of Iraq's sovereignty, airspace, or territory and condemned the use of Iraq as a corridor or launchpad for attacks against other states.

Al Sudani asserted that the government would explore all available legal and international means to safeguard Iraq's security, stability, and sovereignty. He urged for an immediate cessation of military operations and advocated for a return to dialogue and peaceful avenues for resolving disputes under international law. He cautioned that continued escalation could lead the entire region into unforeseen consequences.
