JHCO Chief and GUVS VP Discuss Strengthening Humanitarian Cooperation


Amman: Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, met with the Vice President of the General Union of Voluntary Societies (GUVS), Barakat Barakat, to explore ways to enhance collaboration and unify efforts in charitable and humanitarian work.



According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing key programs and initiatives implemented by both the JHCO and the GUVS. Discussions centered around coordination mechanisms between charitable societies to broaden the scope of services provided to target groups and to improve integration in the implementation of developmental and relief projects.



Al-Shibli highlighted the significance of forming effective partnerships with federations and charitable societies across various governorates. He emphasized that such collaborations are crucial to achieving the mission of humanitarian work and maximizing its impact on society.



Barakat underscored the importance of intensifying cooperation and sharing expertise to enhance the quality and sustainability of services. He noted the value of the strategic partnership with the JHCO and commended its leading role in coordinating relief and humanitarian efforts both domestically and internationally. Barakat stated that the Capital Federation aims to unify the efforts of charitable societies and strengthen their institutional capacities through training programs and joint initiatives. This approach is intended to ensure that support reaches the largest possible segment of deserving families while also achieving sustainable developmental impact.
