Ministry Floats Tender to Purchase 100-120,000 Tons of Wheat

Amman: The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply has issued a tender seeking to procure between 100,000 and 120,000 tons of wheat. This strategic move aims to ensure the country's grain reserves are adequately stocked to meet ongoing demand and maintain food security.

According to Jordan News Agency, interested suppliers are required to obtain the tender documents from the Ministry's Tender Department. These documents, which detail the comprehensive requirements and conditions for participation, are available for a non-refundable fee of JD 650. Suppliers must ensure their bids are submitted no later than 2:00 PM on the upcoming Tuesday to be considered.

To be eligible for the tender, bidders must comply with several administrative requirements. These include presenting a valid professional license and providing an updated commercial registration that has been certified within the last 30 days. Additionally, proof of active membership with the Chamber of Commerce is mandatory for all participants, ensuring that only qualified and credible suppliers are considered for the procurement of the wheat supply.
