Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, inaugurated the Military Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Complex in Amman, affiliated with the Royal Medical Services (RMS).
According to Jordan News Agency, His Majesty, alongside Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, received a briefing from RMS Director Brig. Gen. Sahel Hammouri on efforts to advance medical services and enhance the capabilities of personnel to deliver quality healthcare.
During a tour of the facility, the King was informed by the complex's director, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Khawaldeh, about the structure consisting of two buildings: one designated for RMS subscribers and beneficiaries and another for civilian treatment. The complex is projected to accommodate approximately 13,000 patients monthly, alleviating the patient load at King Hussein Medical City.
Khawaldeh highlighted that the facility includes 61 clinics across seven specialisations in oral and maxillofacial surgery, along with two operating theatres, radiology departments, and specialised laboratories. The complex is equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices and employs artificial intelligence technologies for dental and facial implant planning and execution. It also features a training and simulation building.
His Majesty praised the efforts of RMS personnel, emphasizing the significance of the humanitarian and medical services they offer.
