Jordanian-American Parliamentary Friendship Association Engages with US Ambassador

Amman: The Lower House's Jordanian-American Parliamentary Friendship Association, led by MP Bader Harahsheh, met with US Ambassador to Jordan Jim Holtsnider on Thursday at the House's headquarters to discuss enhancing cooperation in priority areas and exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

According to Jordan News Agency, Harahsheh emphasized the importance of friendship bodies in bolstering parliamentary communication channels and supporting the consolidation of bilateral relations. The attending MPs highlighted the longstanding and evolving Jordanian-US relations, citing their historical depth and development across various fields over the past decades.

The lawmakers stressed the need to boost economic, trade, and investment cooperation, emphasizing Jordan's role as a stable political and institutional partner. In response, Ambassador Holtsnider expressed his appreciation for the ongoing parliamentary engagement, highlighting the importance of maintaining dialogue to serve bilateral relations and strengthen the mutual partnership. He also commended Jordan's regional role and stability, expressing his appreciation for the Jordanian people.
