Armed Forces Set to Restructure Following Royal Directives

Amman: The Jordanian Armed Forces have initiated steps to implement Royal directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to restructure and modernize the Arab Army. This initiative aims to boost the army's efficiency and readiness to tackle current and future security challenges.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Royal directives outline a strategy and roadmap designed to enhance combat and operational capabilities. The focus is on creating a lean, flexible, and high-quality military force capable of operating effectively in diverse environments and addressing the demands of modern and unconventional warfare.

The directives call for aligning the Armed Forces' organizational structure with operational tasks, modernizing systems for command, control, and communications, and improving integration among branches, formations, and units. They also emphasize the expansion of advanced military technologies, including unmanned systems and cyber capabilities.

Additionally, the directives include measures to strengthen reserve force capabilities, develop logistical support systems to ensure sustainable supply chains, and support national defense industries to enhance self-sufficiency and operational efficiency.
