Amman: Secretary General of the Ministry, Engineer Amani Azzam, on Thursday attended the "Harvest of Achievement and Future Outlook 2025" event, organized by the Regional Network for Energy for Women in the Middle East and North Africa (RENEW MENA) in cooperation with the World Bank. Azzam stated that the event highlighted the network's important accomplishments and successes, which are crucial for uniting partners from the public and private sectors, academia, and schools.
According to Jordan News Agency, Azzam emphasized that Jordan takes pride in the network's national chapter, which now includes 32 active partners who significantly support women in the energy sector and empower them to take on leadership roles in their workplaces. She mentioned that Jordan aims to make further progress in 2026 and plans to expand the network into other sectors, such as water and the environment, expressing gratitude to all partners for their efforts and contributions.
Additionally, RENEW MENA Network Leader Yousra Assaker commended the support the network receives from senior leadership at the highest levels, which has made a clear impact on achieving its objectives. She acknowledged the achievements of the past year and expressed appreciation to all partners and supporters.
Assaker also mentioned that the focus for 2026 would be on building upon these achievements with new plans and programs designed to reach more women, particularly in outlying governorates. On the sidelines of the event, Azzam honored several institutions for their significant role in supporting the activities of the RENEW MENA Jordan chapter over the past year.
