Amman: Princess Karma bint Abbas attended the 'Hope Mural' event organized by the "Harir" initiative, which brought together approximately 35 children from Gaza and those battling cancer. This humanitarian effort aimed to support the mental health of these children through art and drawing, allowing them to express their feelings and release positive energy.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Princess's presence at the event provided essential moral support to the participants, highlighting the importance of addressing children's mental health, particularly those facing challenging humanitarian and health situations. Her involvement underscored the need for care that contributes to strengthening children's sense of security and hope.
During the event, Nihad Dabbas, Director General of the "Harir" Initiative, shared insights into the program's progress since its inception in 2018. Over the years, the initiative has engaged approximately 11,000 children, forming the largest "Hope Mural" in the Middle East. Dabbas emphasized the event's ongoing impact on children's mental health and the initiative's commitment to using art as a healing tool. The focus remains on providing hope as a fundamental right for every child, especially amid the challenges they face.
