Minister of Government Communications on US Labeling Muslim Brotherhood as Terrorist Group: Group in Jordan Legally Dissolved

Amman: Minister of Government Communications Mohammad Momani stated on Tuesday that the Government of Jordan has been closely monitoring the announcement made by the US Departments of State and Treasury, which designates the Muslim Brotherhood's branches in Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon as terrorist organizations.

According to Jordan News Agency, Momani, who also serves as the government spokesperson, clarified that the Muslim Brotherhood group in Jordan had been dissolved for several years, with this decision being upheld by a court ruling in 2020. Furthermore, all activities related to the group have been prohibited since April 2025.

Momani emphasized that Jordan approaches all issues by prioritizing its national interests, ensuring that actions are consistent with the country's Constitution and legal framework.
