Agriculture Ministry Offers Subsidized Seedlings to Boost Planting Season

Amman: The Ministry of Agriculture announced Monday the availability of fruit and forest tree seedlings at subsidized prices for farmers and citizens, as part of efforts to expand agricultural activity and make use of the current rainy season.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry stated that applications to purchase these seedlings can be submitted electronically through its official website. The seedlings can then be collected at the nearest agricultural station or at Ministry-run nurseries across the Kingdom's governorates.

The Ministry urged farmers and citizens to capitalize on the favorable weather conditions to expand the cultivation of fruit and forest trees, as well as field crops. This initiative aims to increase green spaces and promote environmental sustainability within the region.

Furthermore, the Ministry highlighted the benefits of such agricultural practices, which include soil preservation, improved soil fertility, rationalized water use, and increased agricultural production. These efforts are expected to positively impact the agricultural sector and provide substantial support to farmers across the nation.
