Amman: The Amman Chamber of Industry has launched a specialized training program focused on the solutions and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as part of the "Empowering Small and Medium Enterprises through Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies" project. This initiative aims to equip engineering and technical staff at Jordanian industrial companies with the necessary skills to adopt advanced technological applications.
According to Jordan News Agency, the program is a collaborative effort with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation and the InJo4.0 Competence Center, supported by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, under the national Industrial Policy Plan. The training aims to promote digital transformation, improve productivity, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce costs within the industrial sector.
The program complements a consulting services initiative under the "Tamkeen" project, offering technical assistance to industrial firms. This includes assessing their readiness and developing plans for the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. Over the past period, the program has offered 10 specialized training courses covering various advanced technologies such as smart factory systems, programmable logic controllers, and industrial robotics.
A total of 180 participants, including engineers, technicians, IT specialists, and recent graduates, have already benefited from the training. The courses combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, utilizing advanced tools and systems that simulate real production environments. Plans are in place to expand the program to include an additional 280 trainees.
The chamber reports that the program has significantly enhanced participants' technical knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to effectively analyze industrial processes and identify opportunities for digital transformation. This initiative is in line with the Economic Modernization Vision, aiming to support industrial digital transformation, create quality employment opportunities, and build a sustainable industrial sector.
