PM Orders Expansion and Renovation Projects in Balqa Governorate

Balqa: Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan on Tuesday visited several sites in Ain al-Basha, Baqa'a, Safout, and Umm al-Dananeer in the central Balqa Governorate as part of his field visits.

According to Jordan News Agency, he began his tour at the Safout Health Center, where he listened to feedback from patients and staff. The center, established in 1988, serves about 15,000 residents. The PM ordered immediate maintenance and the securing of necessary supplies, with plans to find an alternative building for relocation.

The Prime Minister also visited the Vocational Training Institute in Ain al-Basha, accompanied by the Minister of Labor. He reviewed the institute's vocational and technical training programs, urging their continued development to equip graduates for the labor market. The institute, the largest of the Vocational Training Corporation, has over 1,000 trainees and offers 24 training workshops and a language lab.

At Umm al-Dananeer Secondary School for Boys, the PM, with the Minister of Education, addressed the need for new facilities to eliminate the double-shift system. The PM directed the construction of a new building with 24 classrooms, scheduled for completion in 2027, and ordered maintenance on the existing building.

During his visit to Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II Hospital, the PM, with the Minister of Health, inspected facilities and ordered an expedited expansion of the kidney department. The hospital, established in 2010, serves around 200,000 people.

Additionally, the PM visited Baqa'a Park and directed its modernization, including a new football pitch and improved facilities. He also ordered road maintenance in Baqa'a camp and improvements in lighting and stormwater drainage. The tour included the Minister of Local Administration, Walid Masri, and the Governor of Balqa, Faisal Smiran.
