Israeli Settlers Breach Al Aqsa Mosque, Vandalize West Bank Property

Jerusalem: Israeli settlers and extremists on Wednesday intensified their violations and attacks in occupied Jerusalem and across the West Bank. Dozens of hardliners, escorted by Israeli police, stormed Al Aqsa Mosque/al Haram al Sharif compound and performed prayers, provoking guards and worshippers, as reported by the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem, the custodian of the compound.

According to Jordan News Agency, in the West Bank, settlers attacked a vehicle in the village of Taybeh, east of Ramallah, and stole construction equipment in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of the city. Local people reported these incidents. Settlers also assaulted farmers in the town of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit, stealing money, damaging equipment, and destroying olive groves.

Further incidents were recorded in the village of Shalal al-Auja, north of Jericho, where settlers with dogs attacked homes. Additionally, they raided a store in the village of Deir Sharaf, west of Nablus, according to Palestinian sources.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army demolished a house and other structures in the town of Anata, north of Jerusalem, and in the town of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) documented that Israeli forces carried out 6,870 violations in the West Bank and Jerusalem last month. These violations resulted in the deaths of 14 Palestinians, injuries to 301, 659 arrests, and 133 detentions. The report also highlighted 127 home demolitions, 211 property destructions, 161 land confiscations, 67 settlement activities, and 637 settler attacks.
