AJYC Launches Youth Leadership Training Camps Nationwide

Amman: The All Jordan Youth Commission (AJYC), the youth arm of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, has initiated its Youth Leadership Training Camps across the nation. The effort is designed to equip Jordanian youth with essential leadership skills to enable them to contribute effectively to their communities and address political, economic, and intellectual challenges.

According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative is part of the AJYC’s broader mission to cultivate a generation of informed and educated young Jordanians poised to drive positive change and uphold national values. The program targets individuals aged 20-30 who are interested in public opinion issues, offering specialized training to enhance leadership skills and encourage networking among active youth throughout the country.

During the opening ceremony, AJYC Director Abdul Rahim Zawahreh emphasized that the camps aim to foster a generation of leaders endowed with national awareness and practical skills to convert challenges into opportunities. He highlighted that the camps provide a meaningful space for self-discovery, skill refinement, and self-confidence enhancement, offering young men and women the chance to participate in shaping the future.

Participants were selected by specialized committees based on their community engagement and commitment to the project’s training and field phases, as noted by Zawahreh. The camps, conducted in the kingdom’s three regions, comprise three days of intensive training followed by a practical phase, where participants implement community initiatives based on comprehensive action plans tailored to their local needs.
