Amman: The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has announced a new tender aimed at enhancing energy efficiency in nine public hospitals located in the northern region through the implementation of solar thermal water heating systems. This initiative seeks to bolster the Kingdom’s renewable energy efforts by facilitating the design, supply, installation, connection, operation, and maintenance of these systems.
According to Jordan News Agency, potential contractors interested in participating in this tender are invited to visit the ministry’s tenders department to obtain the necessary invitation documents. Contractors must demonstrate their eligibility through appropriate contracting classification. The ministry has made the tender documents available for electronic purchase via its website (Memr.gov.jo) starting today, with sales continuing until Thursday, October 30, at 12 p.m.
Furthermore, the ministry has set a deadline of Sunday, November 2, for receiving inquiries via email at [email protected]. The final deadline for bid submissions is 12 p.m. on Thursday, November 6. Additional requirements include the submission of an entry bond in the form of a “certified cheque or bank guarantee” issued by a local bank, valued at JD12,500 and valid for 120 days from the closing date.
The ministry outlined that bids must be submitted in three separate, sealed envelopes: one each for the technical and financial bids, accompanied by the necessary documents, and a third specifically for the bid bond. All these envelopes should then be placed inside a fourth sealed envelope, clearly marked with the bidder’s name, bid details, and number. The cost for each tender copy is JD200.
