Army Chief Inspects Royal Border Guard Battalion in Southern Military Region

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti inspected the Royal Border Guard Battalion/2, a critical unit of the Southern Military Region, where he was received by the region’s commander.

According to Jordan News Agency, Huneiti, accompanied by senior armed forces officers, was briefed on the unit’s operational tasks, training programs, and procedures for executing border security duties within its designated area.

He emphasized that the General Command of the Armed Forces is actively implementing plans to enhance and equip Border Guard units with modern devices and equipment. This initiative aims to enable the units to effectively perform their duties across all border fronts and to prevent any attempts at infiltration or smuggling.

At the conclusion of his visit, Huneiti conveyed the confidence and pride of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces in the personnel of the Southern Military Region. He commended their high level of professionalism, performance, and morale.
