Amman: Arab Renewable Energy Commission (AREC) Secretary-General Mohammad Taani and President of the Jordanian Society for Renewable Energy Kamel Daqamseh engaged in talks with Bahraini Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to explore ways to boost cooperation in the renewable energy sector. The discussions focused on supporting sustainable development across Arab countries.
According to Jordan News Agency, Bahrain is set to host the 10th Arab Renewable Energy Forum from November 3-5, alongside the 15th meeting of the AREC Executive Office in Manama. This event aims to serve as a platform for launching the “Comprehensive Arab Guide to Renewable Energy.” The guide is intended to benefit both public and private sectors, attract investment in clean energy, and empower youth and job seekers by providing updated data and information in the field.
The AREC General Secretariat, based in Amman, plays a pivotal role in coordinating renewable energy initiatives across the region. Bahrain currently holds the rotating presidency of the Commission, represented by the President of AREC and head of Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority, Kamal bin Ahmed.
