Amman: The Ministry of Labor announced it has dealt with 31 worker disputes from the beginning of 2025 until the end of last August. All cases were resolved in accordance with the resolution stages set by the Labor Law, with the exception of one dispute that is still pending and another that ended in the labor court.
According to Jordan News Agency, Adnan Dahamsheh, Director of the Ministry’s Labor Relations Directorate, stated that the ministry oversaw the signing of 29 collective labor contracts. Dahamsheh attributed this milestone to the cooperation between the administrations of private sector institutions and labor unions, which aimed to serve workers and improve their employment benefits.
Dahamsheh added that approximately 218,000 workers have benefited from the improved job benefits under the collective labor contracts overseen by the ministry. The beneficiaries are currently employed in various sectors, including clothing, textiles, private education, public services, information technology, electricity, petrochemicals, and other industries.
