Baghdad: Several key Jordanian publishing houses participated in the 26th edition of the Baghdad International Book Fair, which recently opened in the Iraqi capital. Muhannad Halwa, a member of the Union of Jordanian Publishers (UJP), highlighted the Kingdom’s participation as a reflection of the “deep-rooted” Jordanian-Iraqi relations, emphasizing the visitors’ “remarkable interest in Jordanian publishing houses’ releases, mainly scientific works.”
According to Jordan News Agency, the Head of Jabra Books, Ruqayya Kanaan, noted the “great interest” of Iraqi readers in the house’s literary titles. The fair presents a wide array of releases from 349 publishing houses from around the world, showcasing the diverse literary and scientific contributions Jordan has to offer.
