University of Jordan Hospital Fits Hearing Aids for 20 Children in Petra District

Petra: The University of Jordan Hospital (UJH) conducted a voluntary medical day in the southern Petra district of Wadi Musa, with assistance from the Swiss organization “Hear the World.”

According to Jordan News Agency, during the event, hearing aids featuring advanced audiological technology were fitted for 20 children experiencing hearing loss. A team comprising doctors, audiologists from UJH and the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan, as well as interns and medical students specializing in ear, nose, and throat (ENT), participated in fitting the hearing devices.

A hospital statement noted that the initiative was aimed at enhancing community healthcare and providing support to children and their families. Additionally, beneficiaries attended lectures on maintaining hearing aids and their remote programming, ensuring continuous e-support from the UJ audiology team.
