FM and Korean Counterpart Discuss Regional Ties and Humanitarian Efforts

Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi held a phone conversation with Cho Hyun, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea, to discuss enhancing bilateral ties and addressing regional issues.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministers emphasized their shared commitment to expanding collaboration in various areas to benefit both nations. They discussed the importance of a sustainable truce in Gaza and supported American, Egyptian, and Qatari efforts towards a prisoner swap agreement.

The discussion also covered the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Safadi stressed the urgency of opening all crossings to deliver prompt aid to the area, which is facing an unprecedented crisis exacerbated by the invasion. The Korean Foreign Minister confirmed support for Jordan’s efforts in this regard.

Safadi expressed appreciation for Korea’s efforts to achieve a two-state solution, facilitate humanitarian aid, and support a ceasefire in Gaza. The ministers agreed to maintain coordination and cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
