Azm Party Condemns Netanyahu’s ‘Greater Israel’ Remarks

Amman: The Azm Party parliamentary bloc on Wednesday condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent statements on the so-called “Greater Israel,” which encompasses lands from Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt, calling them a blatant act of aggression and a challenge to international conventions.

According to Jordan News Agency, the bloc expressed in a press statement that Netanyahu’s remarks demonstrate a level of madness and arrogance, rooted in false assumptions about the potential to redraw regional maps. They emphasized that Jordan, under Hashemite leadership, is not open to such ambitions, labeling its borders as a definitive red line.

The bloc further articulated that Jordan, guided by His Majesty King Abdullah II, remains unwavering in its stance that security, stability, and peace in the region are unattainable without a two-state solution. They advocate for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, warning that Israeli policies could lead to further violence and destruction.

The statement concluded by asserting that, in solidarity with the Jordanian people, Netanyahu’s statements are rejected as null and void. The Azm Party emphasized Jordan’s commitment to resisting aggression and supporting Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, until justice is served and rights are restored.
