Amman: Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto expressed strong disapproval of the current situation in Gaza, describing it as “morally and legally unacceptable.” He emphasized that the ongoing events should not be seen as a conventional military operation with collateral damage but rather “an outright denial of the principles of international law and the values on which our civilization is built.”
According to Jordan News Agency, Crosetto stated, “We cannot remain silent in the face of this,” during an address where he was quoted by Euronews. He highlighted Italy’s consideration of punitive measures against Israel, with the goal of protecting Israeli citizens from what he described as a government that has “lost its mind and its humanity.” Crosetto’s remarks underscore Italy’s serious concern and potential action in response to the developments in Gaza.
