Jordan, Egypt Prepare for 33rd Joint Higher Committee Talks in Amman

Amman: The preparatory committee meetings for the 33rd session of the Jordanian-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee commenced in Amman at the senior official level. The discussions focused on several issues aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.

According to Jordan News Agency, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, Dana Zoubi, chaired the Jordanian delegation, while Assistant Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Tarek Shaarawy, led the Egyptian side. Representatives from both countries’ relevant ministries and institutions participated in the expert-level talks.

In intensive sectoral sessions, the committee explored cooperation issues in various fields at the bilateral level, aiming to enhance relations and cooperation in political and economic development. Both sides also worked on drafting the final version of the agreements to be signed at the conclusion of the Higher Committee’s deliberations.

The Jordanian trade ministry statement highlighted the importance of these talks, noting that the joint outcomes and agreements are implemented with significant attention. The two-day event sets the stage for the Higher Committee meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, which will be co-chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan and his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly.
