Ghabawi: Five planes were dispatched from Jordan’s King Abdullah II Airbase in the Ghabawi area on Tuesday, carrying humanitarian aid, baby formula, and food. This operation is part of international efforts led by the Kingdom to deliver humanitarian assistance via airdrops to areas in Gaza that are inaccessible by land.
According to Jordan News Agency, a Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft, along with planes from the United Arab Emirates, France, and two from Germany, conducted the airdrops. The operation resulted in the delivery of 35 tonnes of humanitarian aid.
Each aid pellet, weighing half a tonne, was carefully wrapped and packaged to ensure safe delivery to various areas in northern and central Gaza. This effort was coordinated with several international relief organisations operating in the Strip.
With Tuesday’s airdrops, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army has completed 140 airdrop operations independently, and 293 in cooperation with other countries. Since the resumption of airdrops on 27 July, a total of 325 tonnes of aid has been delivered to Gaza.
