Ankara: Israel officially confirmed agreeing to a bilateral ceasefire with Iran on Tuesday, following a proposal from US President Donald Trump. The government stated that the ceasefire was reached in light of achieving the operation’s goals and in full cooperation with President Trump.
According to Anadolu Agency, Israel claimed to have eliminated threats in Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile areas and achieved full air control over the skies of Tehran. Additionally, Israel reported causing significant damage to Iran’s military and governmental sites as part of the military operations leading up to the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli government expressed its appreciation to President Trump for his defensive support and participation in removing the perceived Iranian nuclear threat. The statement underscored the importance of the US’s role in facilitating the ceasefire and ensuring regional stability.
Israel has also issued a warning that it will respond forcefully to any violations of the ceasefire by Iran, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the terms of the agreement to prevent further conflict.
