Senate President and Arab Parliament Official Discuss Enhancing Parliamentary Ties

Amman: Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez met with Khadija Hajoubi, Deputy Chair of the Social Committee in the Arab Parliament and member of the Moroccan House of Representatives, to discuss enhancing parliamentary collaboration and cultural ties between Jordan and Morocco.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, which took place in Amman and included Senator Ihsan Barakat, the Senate’s representative to the Arab Parliament, centered on the strong bilateral relations between Jordan and Morocco. Al-Fayez described these relations as being based on mutual respect and a shared vision to promote the interests of both nations.

Al-Fayez stressed the importance of strengthening the role of Arab parliamentary institutions in addressing regional challenges and advancing collective Arab interests. He called for enhanced coordination among Arab legislative bodies to support political and development agendas that benefit the broader Arab region.

Hajoubi, on her part, emphasized Morocco’s dedication to deepening ties with Jordan’s Senate through ongoing engagement in the Arab Parliament and bilateral parliamentary initiatives. She commended the level of cooperation between the two countries and expressed Morocco’s readiness to explore new opportunities for joint action.

Hajoubi proposed organizing a joint Jordanian-Moroccan exhibition in Amman to showcase traditional and artisanal products from both countries. She stated that this initiative would act as a platform to reinforce cultural connections and promote heritage industries.
