Amman: The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) on Monday launched 104 fully integrated electronic services as part of the government’s digital transformation initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the project implementer, Siren Analytics Jordan. The rollout aims to improve the business environment, enhance user experience, and boost institutional performance in line with Jordan’s economic modernization and digital transformation vision championed by His Majesty King Abdullah II.
According to Jordan News Agency, during a ceremony held at the National Center for Nuclear and Radiological Security, EMRC Chairman Ziad Saaydeh officially announced the launch of the services. The event was attended by Samira Zoubi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and Siren Analytics Jordan CEO Kamil Fakhoury. Saaydeh described the launch as a significant milestone in institutional modernization, reflecting the commission’s commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions to improve service quality, accessibility, and data security.
The new services span the EMRC’s various sectors: 38 for radiation protection, 13 for mining and quarries, 36 for oil and derivatives, 7 for natural gas, 5 for electricity and renewable energy, 2 for petroleum and oil shale, and 2 for the commission’s internationally accredited labs. Additionally, a unified service was launched for receiving and tracking citizen complaints across regulated sectors. He emphasized that this achievement highlights the energy sector’s commitment to excellence and digital transformation as a key enabler of national economic growth, enabling faster, more transparent, and user-centered service delivery.
Zoubi hailed the initiative as a practical model of how public institutions can align with the objectives of Jordan’s digital government program, fostering modern public services that meet contemporary demands and bolster public trust. Fakhoury noted that the services were designed using international best practices, incorporating cutting-edge technologies to ensure sustainable solutions, user accessibility, and enhanced data protection.
