Amman: Chair of the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Haitham Misto and Director-General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority Saif Suwaidi have signed a Letter of Intent to launch a knowledge exchange programme aimed at enhancing civil aviation ties between Jordan and the UAE.
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement is designed to bolster relations between the two nations, particularly in civil aviation and air transport. The signing ceremony took place alongside the launch of the programme’s first phase at the Civil Aviation Authority headquarters, attended by numerous experts and specialists in the aviation field.
Initiated by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, the programme seeks to align with the latest advancements in the aviation industry, improve capabilities, and encourage collaboration between the UAE and other Arab countries. It provides a variety of partnership opportunities, including in-person and virtual sessions, workshops on technical cooperation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and strategic development.
Misto commended the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority for its significant role in advancing the civil aviation sector and promoting joint Arab cooperation, which is essential for the sector’s development and shared interests.
