Amman: The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) announced that approximately 4,000 children and their families participated in the Eid al-Fitr Carnival Days, which took place across 10 venues in the capital city of Amman.
According to Jordan News Agency, Director of GAM’s Facilities and Social Programs, Ghaida Hadid, stated that the carnivals were a key component of the Amman Child-Friendly City project’s executive plan. This initiative is designed to foster community empowerment and promote positive social interaction.
Hadid highlighted that the carnival events were instrumental in developing children’s skills across various target areas. The activities focused on organizing recreational, cultural, and social programs aimed at children and the local community. The festival featured two-hour daily entertainment shows for children, which included various competitions and the distribution of gifts.
