Local Administration Minister: Professional License Renewal Deadline To Be Extended Until June 30

Amman: Minister of Local Administration Walid Masri confirmed that the Cabinet’s decision to extend the deadline for renewing professional licenses in municipalities until the end of June will help address many challenges faced by investors in municipalities.

According to Jordan News Agency, Masri stated in a press release on Sunday that the extension will ease the burdens on investors, shop owners, and small businesses and prevent overcrowding at municipal offices due to the large influx of visitors and traders.

He added that this decision will address several issues related to the electronic system for professional licenses and provide traders with more time to complete the renewal process.

The Cabinet, during its session chaired by Prime Minister Jaafar Hesan, approved the extension of the professional license renewal deadline until June 30, 2025, without imposing fines on those renewing their licenses.

The decision is part of the Ministry of Local Administration’s efforts to implement electronic services for professional licenses according to the national unified guide for classifying economic establishments.

The goal of the decision is to provide investors and business owners sufficient time to complete their license renewal electronically, and it includes crediting or refunding fees paid by some beneficiaries as fines during previous renewal periods.
