Israeli Raid in Tulkarem Leads to Uprooting of 200 Palestinian Families

Tulkarem: An Israeli raid into the city of Tulkarem and the nearby refugee camp in the north of the occupied West Bank continued on Monday for the 50th day in a row, with more homes destroyed and families uprooted. The local Tulkarem governorate stated that the Israeli occupation army forced families in Tulkarem camp to flee their homes in an ongoing policy of forced displacement.

According to Jordan News Agency, 200 Palestinian families were forcibly removed from their homes in Tulkarem camp in the past 24 hours, with those remaining being instructed to leave and not return. This action is part of a broader pattern of forced displacement observed in the region.

In the Southern West Bank, Jewish settlers have been reported to assault Palestinian homes in Masafer Yatta, located south of Hebron. Osama Makhamreh, responsible for monitoring Israeli violations in Masafer Yatta, reported that a group of settlers attacked homes, with a family in Susiya village being assaulted.

The settlers’ activities target livestock, shepherds, pastures, and homes to push villagers out of their lands, paving the way for Jewish settlement expansion in the area. Last month, Jewish settlers carried out 230 attacks, concentrated mainly in Nablus and Hebron (43 each), Ramallah (38), and Jerusalem (25). Additionally, 68 acts of vandalism and property theft were documented by NGOs and rights groups.
