Amman: The Public Security Directorate spokesman said Monday that a viral social media video appearing to show a staged pedestrian hit accident is actually more than two years old.
According to Jordan News Agency, in a brief statement, the spokesman addressed growing public concern over the widely-shared footage that had been circulating across social platforms in recent days as if it were a new incident.
The directorate urged the public to corroborate information through official news sources before sharing any visual or written content to avoid spreading rumors and misinformation.
