Agreement Reached to Integrate Syrian Democratic Forces into State Institutions

Amman: The Syrian Presidency announced on Monday the signing of an agreement to integrate the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into Syrian state institutions.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement follows a meeting between Syrian President Ahmad Sharaa and the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi. The agreement ensures the rights of all Syrians to political representation and participation.

The agreement includes provisions for a ceasefire across all Syrian territories. It recognises the Kurdish community as an integral part of the state, guaranteeing their right to citizenship and constitutional protections.

The deal outlines the integration of civil and military institutions in northeastern Syria into the broader administration of the Syrian state.
