Amman: Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan met with Khaled Fanatseh, the head of the General Federation of Trade Unions, as part of his ongoing meetings with representatives from various sectors. Hassan discussed the trade unions’ role in addressing workers’ issues and emphasised the government’s commitment to building a strong partnership with the Federation and unions representing workers.
According to Jordan News Agency, Hassan highlighted the importance of collaboration in areas such as training and providing suitable opportunities for workers. In turn, Fanatseh praised the government’s consistent efforts to maintain open communication with various sectors. He also reviewed key issues the Federation seeks to address in its efforts to protect workers and employers.
Fanatseh emphasised that the Federation, established in 1954, is one of the oldest of its kind in the country. The Prime Minister directed that several matters concerning the Federation be studied further and reiterated the government’s ongoing support for workers, stressing the importance of continuously addressing their concerns.
