Gaza: Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir Al-Bursh, announced that six children have died amid the ongoing harsh cold wave sweeping the besieged Strip.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Bursh revealed that the total number of children who have perished due to cold-related causes since the beginning of winter has now reached 15. He emphasized that Gaza’s hospitals, particularly pediatric hospitals, are no longer able to cope with the influx of cases suffering from cold-related complications, largely due to destruction inflicted by Israeli attacks that have severely damaged medical facilities and equipment.
Al-Bursh also accused the Israeli occupation of failing to adhere to humanitarian protocols, particularly in allowing the entry of medical supplies, heating equipment, tents, and mobile homes to help civilians cope with the extreme weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah, along with the villages of Qibya and Nabi Saleh in the northwest, as well as the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Bireh city.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers vandalized storefronts at the entrance of Al-Jalazone camp while also raiding several homes in Qibya, Nabi Saleh, and Umm Al-Sharayet, accompanied by heavy gunfire.
Additionally, Israeli forces demolished a home in the town of Kafr ad-Dik, west of Salfit in the northern West Bank.
