Amman: Director General of the Cities and Villages Development Bank, Mohammad Harahsheh, met with a delegation from Yemen’s CAC Bank to discuss cooperation, particularly in local development and sustainable financing.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting underscored the bank’s commitment to exchanging expertise with regional financial institutions. Harahsheh highlighted the significance of forming strategic partnerships to support sustainable development and promote green financing at local and international levels. He emphasized the potential for CAC Bank to benefit from the Cities and Villages Development Bank’s expertise in these areas.
Harahsheh proposed exploring opportunities to transfer the bank’s experience with the Green Climate Fund, which could enhance CAC Bank’s capabilities in financing and implementing environmental and sustainable development projects.
The CAC Bank delegation, led by Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors Hashed Hamdani and Assistant Deputy CEO for the Agricultural, Fisheries, and Sustainable Development Sector Abdo Mohsen Mohammed, commended the Cities and Villages Development Bank’s achievements with the Green Climate Fund. They expressed interest in leveraging this experience to finance climate and sustainable development projects in Yemen and to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
