Amman: Global gasoline, diesel, and kerosene prices decreased in the first week of February compared to January, as reported by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources’ weekly bulletin. The bulletin highlighted a downward trend in fuel prices, reflecting changes in the global market.
According to Jordan News Agency, the average price of 90-octane gasoline fell slightly from $717 per ton to $715, marking a 0.3 percent decrease. Similarly, 95-octane gasoline experienced a more significant drop of 1 percent, with prices declining from $740 per ton to $732.
Diesel prices saw a notable reduction, decreasing from $688 per ton to $665, which represents a 3 percent drop. Kerosene prices also went down by 1 percent, from $722 per ton to $715. In contrast, fuel oil prices showed an increase, rising from $474 per ton to $481, a 2 percent uptick.
The bulletin also indicated a rise in the average price of liquefied petroleum gas, which increased to $628 in February from $618 in January, reflecting a 2 percent increase. Meanwhile, the average price of Brent crude oil showcased a significant decrease, dropping from $79 per barrel to $75, a 5 percent decline.
