Germany Says Palestinians Shouldn’t Be Expelled from Gaza

Berlin: The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday that Palestinian residents of Gaza should not be expelled, commenting on remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, who suggested that Jordan and Egypt should take in the people of Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, a spokesperson for the ministry stated that Berlin aligns with the position of “the European Union, its Arab partners, and the United Nations,” emphasizing that the Palestinian people should not be expelled from Gaza. The spokesperson further highlighted that Gaza should neither be permanently occupied nor reoccupied by Israel.
