Amman: The recent decision by the Ministry of Labor to mandate the provision of medical aid kits and equipment in workplaces is an “important and feasible” action aimed at improving occupational safety and health systems across the Kingdom’s economic sectors, according to Khaled Fanatseh, the Head of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU).
According to Jordan News Agency, Fanatseh emphasized that the decision is crucial for ensuring worker safety and preserving health amid occupational hazards present in various workplaces. He pointed out that the initiative not only addresses the availability of first aid kits at job sites but also underscores the responsibility of employers to effectively implement this decision.
Fanatseh further urged the Ministry of Labor to conduct regular inspection campaigns across all sectors to identify and rectify violations related to occupational safety and health. He stressed the importance of ensuring the implementation of the relevant safety systems to prote
